Link Up
Option 1: directly in the app
The fastest route. Deletion runs immediately.
- Open Link Up and sign in.
- Go to the Profile tab.
- Open Settings.
- At the bottom, choose Delete account.
- Enter your password to confirm.
Deletion happens immediately and cannot be undone. There is no grace period in which you could change your mind.
Option 2: by email
If you no longer have access to the app or your account, write to support@get-link-up.app.
So we can match the request, please send it from the email address you registered with and include your username. We handle deletion requests within 30 days and confirm once it's done.
What gets deleted
Along with the account we remove all data relating to you:
- Account and sign-in data (email address, username, password hash)
- Profile details, profile picture and city membership
- Your posts, photos, stories, comments and reactions
- Your chat messages
- Your group and meetup memberships, plus meetups you created
- Device identifiers used for push notifications
- Feedback you submitted is detached from your account and retained only anonymously
What remains, and for how long
A few items we're allowed or required to keep for a while. This is all of them:

Your data disappears from backups automatically once the relevant copy expires. Purchases and subscriptions run through Apple or Google, so a subscription is cancelled there rather than with us. Details are in the privacy policy.
Only want off the waitlist?
If you signed up for the launch notification on the home page but don't have an account: every email we send contains an unsubscribe link. Alternatively a short message to support@get-link-up.app is enough and we'll delete your address.
